Standalone Access Version

Web Hosting

fishAbility can host a web version of the HERA2 database for you for as little as $10 per month. The main cost to an organization (as with any application) will be setting up the database, transferring your existing data, training, and support of your on-going collections functions. Contact us about setting up a hosting solution for you based on one of the packages below.

HERA2 software is distributed free under the GPL public license. You can download the source for HERA2 yourself and install it and its associated programs on your computer. (See requirements to run HERA2.)

HERA2 is offered under an Open-Source license. This means you are free to use and modify the source yourself. It also means that as a community grows around the product, you can contribute to its development by adding things you have found useful: documentation of your work, reports, queries, and add-ons that you have found useful. Upgrades to HERA2 are included in the following packages:

HERA2 Packages

All packages feature the standard HERA2 web interface, unlimited biographical and collections records. Additional support is billed at $60/hour in 1/4 hour increments.
