Bob Nygren: guide, bush flying, trap line, carpenter by trade, commercial fisher. Bob's family is Swedish and homesteaded in Saskatchewan in 1918.

Family came out to the Sunshine Coast in 1940 from Saskatchewan, following a brother who came out in 1936.

Bob left the coast when he was young to work in the Peace River and Fort Nelson area big game hunting and guiding. Came back down to the coast to Pender Harbour and started taking out the guys he had been hunting with in.

After working in construction in the Gibsons area for a few years, he became a partner in Pebbles Realty working there for last 19 years.

Billy Gritths was a commercial fisher – family has been in Egmont forever. Bob knows him through lions club in Pender H. formed lions club. Knew them through fishing,

Egmont formed a lions club, Billy he has been president. Still has a fishboat and has waterfront.

When they started the Lions Club in Pender Harbour it was all new people.
