The original series, the [Beachcombers]? was filmed in Gibsons, as was the more recent [Beachcombers]? movie done by the CBC.

[Needful Things]? by Stephen King was also filmed here in Gibsons, in 1992. They built a church setting in Pioneer Park and a store setting in Inglis Park. The church was partially blown up and the store totally blown up.
