tems swiya Museum presents the culture and history of the Sechelt Indian band.

Collection: Botanical - locally used plants for medicine and for fibres. Ethnographic - baskets, canoe paddles, adzes, hammer and cooking stones, mauls. Archaeological - arrowheads, spearpoints, stone carvings, stone and clay beads. Archival - photos and text. Contemporary - art, carvings, baskets, photos, slides, video, audio. Transcribed oral histories.

Workshops: drums, cedar bark, carving, beading. School - tours, in-class lectures, travelling exhibits. Tours - bus charter, local organizations, individuals.

Tour packages: Elders' story telling, craft demonstrations, museum, totem poles, hatchery, carving shed, slide shows.

Sechelt Cedar Bark Baskets and Sechelt Cedar Root Baskets.

Located in the Sechelt Indian Band government complex in Sechelt.
