Built Heritage Inventory

2001 the Town of Gibsons created a Heritage Advisory Commission to research and provide feedback on matters of built heritage in the area. Chris Marshall, Town Planner, was made chair of the commission.

One of the tasks of the commission is to provide an inventory of built heritage resources to the town. To that end, at a recent meeting the town committed to providing some funding for students to be hired in 2003 to create the inventory. Meanwhile, some work has been done on cataloguing some dozen buildings. A data collections form was created to standardize the information being collected.

The on line form permits entry of built heritage information directly into the database. Please provide as much information as you can. If there are things you would like to change after you have created an entry, please email the information to Cliff Quinn.
