Setting standards assures consistency within an organization: in employment, management of information, quality of services. Many organizations (ISO, Standards Council of Canada) deal in general terms with standards, but these standards must be adapted for use in specific communities. The Standards Portfolio for BC Museums is a adaptation of Technology, Business, and Human Factor standards for BC Museums.
